Friday: I went out for ramen with Catrina and Daniel.
Saturday: In the morning I made plans to hike with a co-teacher. The weekend before it rained so we canceled. We hiked from 10-12:30. Luckily, the trail was near the ferry terminal. At 1:00 I met five friends to take a ferry to Chuja Island where one of our friends lives and teaches English.
Sunday: We stayed the night on Chuja and headed home in the morning. After the two hour ferry ride home, Jeanette, Leah, Andre and I went to a figure drawing meet up that Andre’s wife put together. I volunteered to model as the second of three models.
Monday: After work I ate soup and cake with Jeanette and Michelle (not pictured). We played card games after and relaxed.
We hiked around a second mountain where we found Jeju style tombs; volcanic rock is used to form a square around the buried body and sometimes more rocks are used in a pile to mark the place. This does not happen on the mainland.
In Korea, tomatoes are a fruit so sometimes you’ll have it with dessert. I’ve had fruit salad with tomato, Jeanette has had ice cream with a tomato on top, and now we’ve had this cake with tomato on top.
