20) Pet Cafe

Having so many awesome places to visit is one of the highlights of living on Jeju Island. Being a touristy area we have museums, beaches, big markets, and many pet cafes. After expressing extreme interest to my co-teacher she offered to take me to one after work since it’s only accessible by car.

When you first arrive you’re greeted by a fluffy dog…

and a goat.

When you go inside you can eat, drink, and read while you wait to play with the pets.

  1. Hahaha when you were holding the turtle I thought you were holding a sandwich.
I’ve read most of your posts up until this one (I’m enjoying following the story), and I hope you haven’t mentioned this already, but how did you get a position at a Jeju school? It looks like such an amazing experience. Did you get much of a chance to use Korean in every day life?

    1. Thanks for reading! I was positioned on Jeju through EPIK. It was pure luck; I didn’t have a preference on where I was placed. As for speaking Korean, it’s up to everyone’s personal choice. I used it a bit but could have been fluent with far more effort.
